City tours

Home of Fairy Tales

We begin our tour from the central train station, whereas we go to Kings Garden and the beautiful palace, Odense Slot. You will see the Church of St. Hans, its well-preserved tombs, and a Gothic crucifix from the 15th century. We will stop near many other beautiful historical buildings on our way to Andersens House. Do you remember the little dog who had eyes the “size of a Round Tower of Copenhagen”? You will see him, among 18 other sculptures right on the city streets. At the end of the walking tour, we will go through the pedestrian area of Vestergade and adjacent streets, returning to the station past the lovely city theatre on Jernbanegade and the park, from which we started our tour.

Roskilde in a Nutshell

This is one of the most interesting tours in Denmark, showing off the ancient capital of the Vikings, Roskilde, which is located in the East of Zealand island, on the shores of Roskilde Fjord, 35 km away from Copenhagen.

We start our tour from Roskilde Cathedral and proceed to the oldest street of the city. There, we stop for a while at the small square Stændertorvet to look at the City Hall, built in neo-Gothic style (1884) and attached to the bell tower of the former church of St. Lawrence (Sct. Laurentii Kirke). You will also see the other great attraction in Roskilde: the Viking Ship Museum. Between the 10th and 11th centuries, the residents of the city sank five ships at the entrance of the Roskilde Fjord in order to protect the city. These ships were raised from the seabed in the ’60s and ’70s of the 20th century and partially restored in a special laboratory. If the weather allows, you can see the ships in action: set the sails, row with oars and learn how to turn.

Dog Sledding

What can bring more fun and excitement than being dragged in a sled by a number of husky dogs? And, moreover, when you drive this harness on a large snowy field! That is exactly what Nordiva Tours offers to you with its dogsledding journeys. Being aware that the rides are completely different in a morning/daytime and in the evening time, the company has provided different types of voyages for its customers.

Driving an own sled is another great opportunity, if you want to get an idea how to rule the harness with huskies and actively partake in this activity. Yet, be sure that, if no one from your group wants to drive the sled, it will be driven by professional mushers, provided by the company. The trip takes place in Kvaløya, one of the biggest Norwegian islands near Tromsø.
