You will start this whole-day tour from the oldest part of Bergen. On your way, you will have many short photo stops in attractive places, such as Bergenhus Fortress – a home to the Norwegian kings since the 12th century, when Bergen became the capital ofNorway. Also, you will witness the Haakon Hall Royal Residence, erected in the13th century, and medieval Rosenkrantz Tower. Later on, you will move on to the next stop – Hanseatic Office Bruggen, which belonged to the German Trading Hanseatic League that used to be the most important trading center in Norway for more than 400 years.
Then, you will continue your way along Osteroyfjord, while enjoying a ride on the historical king post road to the city of Voss. Also, you might have a stop at Dale (this is optional and completely up to you), a place where the oldest Norwegian knitwear factory was opened by Peter Jensen in the second half of the 19th century. Nowadays, sweaters from Dale are popular all over the world. After you will drive over the city of Voss, you will make a stop near the Twinde waterfall, which became a symbol of the most famous and popular Norwegian drinking water – Voss.
That serpentine mountain road will bring you to the Stalheim hotel, which features a view on Narray Valley, which, along with Nærøyfjord, appears to be a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Your way further includes a visit to the town of Gudvangen where you board a ferry for amazing 2 hours trip to Flåm.
After a lunch break you continue your journey by the historical Flåm train. You will make a special stop at Kjosfossen waterfall, where you will be a witness of a short entertainment, dedicated to the legend of huldras (known also as forest nimfas). At the end, you will reach Voss from Myrdal by train, and your bus will pick you up in Voss to bring you back to Bergen.
